Founded on October 24, 1955, it currently competes in the Saudi Professional League, with its home stadium at King Saud University Stadium in Riyadh. ![]() Team HistoryAl-Nassr Football Club was established in 1955 and officially registered and recognized in 1956, becoming one of the earliest football clubs founded in Saudi Arabia. In 1976, Al-Nassr joined Saudi Arabia's first nationwide football league. After several seasons of development, Al-Nassr gradually emerged, winning its first major trophy—the King's Cup—in 1981. During the 1990s, led by Saudi Arabia's "Golden Trio," Al-Nassr claimed 2 league titles, 1 Saudi King's Cup, 1 Saudi Federation Cup, as well as 1 Asian Cup Winners' Cup and 1 Asian Super Cup. In the 2013-14 season, Al-Nassr not only won the Saudi top-flight football league title but also defeated city rival Al-Hilal Football Club 2-1 in the Crown Prince Cup final. In the 2020-21 season, Al-Nassr successfully defended the Saudi Super Cup title, but under new coach Mano Menezes, their league ranking slipped to 6th. However, in the 2021-22 season, the appointment of Miguel Ángel Russo helped Al-Nassr return to the top 3 of the league. On December 31, 2022, Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo joined the team, signing a contract until 2025. On August 2, 2023, Sadio Mané joined Al-Nassr, with a contract until 2027.
