The Argentina national team has officially confirmed an injury report stating that forward Joaquín Panichelli sustained a right knee injury today and will undergo further examinations tomorrow. Multiple journalists have reported that the player's season is over and he will miss the World Cup.

ESPN journalist Martín Arévalo reported Panichelli's World Cup absence: “The player has torn his cruciate ligament and will be sidelined for more than six months, making him undoubtedly unavailable for the World Cup.”

Journalist Veronica Brunati reported: “Panichelli suffered a serious injury during training today and will miss the World Cup. Recovery from a torn right knee cruciate ligament takes over six months. This is a huge blow for a young player who earned his place in the national team through hard work. Wishing him a speedy recovery!”

Argentina team journalist Gastón Edul reported: “Panichelli's injury involves ligaments and occurred in the same leg where he tore his cruciate ligament two years ago. It remains unclear whether this is the same injury or damage to the collateral ligaments. The situation is not optimistic.”

The 23-year-old Panichelli, standing at 1.90 meters tall, plays as a center-forward. He has made 39 appearances for RC Strasbourg Alsace in Ligue 1 this season, scoring 20 goals and providing 4 assists. Among these, he has netted 16 goals in Ligue 1 so far, topping the scoring charts.
