About Brazil national football team
The Brazil national football team is a national-level football team managed by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF). It represents Brazil in major international football A-level tournaments, with its home stadium at the Maracanã Stadium.

Team History
Founded in 1914, Brazil won its first Copa América (then known as the South American Championship) title in 1919 and claimed the honor again in 1922. In 1949, Brazil won the Copa América for the third time and hosted the World Cup in 1950. At that World Cup, Brazil suffered the "Maracanazo," losing to Uruguay and missing out on the championship. In 1958, led by Pelé, Brazil won the World Cup for the first time and successfully defended the title four years later. In 1970, Pelé guided Brazil to their third World Cup victory, permanently retaining the Jules Rimet Trophy. From 1994 to 2002, Brazil reached the World Cup final three consecutive times, winning two championships and one runner-up. In 2004 and 2007, Brazil achieved back-to-back Copa América titles. In 2014, Brazil hosted the World Cup again but lost 7-1 to Germany in the semi-finals, finishing only fourth. In 2018 and 2022, Brazil was eliminated in the quarter-finals of two consecutive World Cups.

Team Achievements
Brazil has participated in all 22 World Cups, being the only team with a 100% attendance record. It has won 5 World Cup titles, 9 Copa América titles, and 4 Confederations Cup titles. In July 2024, Brazil lost 4-2 on penalties to Uruguay in the Copa América quarter-finals, failing to reach the semi-finals. On June 11, 2025, in the 16th round of the South American World Cup Qualifiers, Brazil defeated Paraguay 1-0 to qualify for the World Cup in advance, becoming the 12th qualified team and the third team from South America to directly qualify for the tournament.
