Fulham manager Marco Silva believes signing winger Oscar Bobb from Manchester City on a five-year contract demonstrates the club's determination to maintain its competitiveness in the top half of the Premier League.

It is understood that the 22-year-old has moved to Craven Cottage for £27 million, filling the void left by Adama Traoré's transfer to West Ham United.
Silva will lead his side to face Manchester United away on Sunday, aiming to sustain their push for a top-six spot. He is convinced that signing a young talent like Bobb will lay a solid foundation for the club's future.
"I am absolutely delighted, because I think this is a very, very good move for us," Silva said in the pre-match press conference.
“Now what we need to do is work with him to get him in the best physical shape, because I believe he will be an excellent signing for the football club.”
“If you are going to invest this much money in a player like him – a young player who can not only help us for the rest of this season but also contribute to the team's future – then of course we have a long-term plan for him.”
“He has produced some outstanding performances in a handful of games wearing the Man City shirt, but for his national team, he is already a starter and will feature in the World Cup.”
The Norway international came through the youth academy of his hometown club Valerenga before joining the renowned City Football Academy at the age of 16.
"We truly believe this is a fantastic signing, and he will certainly show his quality, but at the same time, we also need to bring some fresh blood to the team," Silva added.
