A Liverpool correspondent has discussed the club’s potential transfer targets.

Liverpool are reportedly drawing up a list of transfer candidates. RB Leipzig winger Diomande has contributed 7 goals and 4 assists this season, and his transfer fee will not be cheap. In fact, significant progress has been made on specific transfer work, but all operations are taking place behind the scenes – a common practice for top clubs.

A list of centre-back targets is also being compiled, with the position regarded as the club’s top transfer priority. However, the recruitment plan depends to some extent on Ibrahima Konaté’s future.

To date, the club has not reached an agreement with the defender over a new contract, with the two sides seemingly far apart on salary terms. Tottenham centre-back Micky van de Ven wants to leave.

Meanwhile, Adam Wharton is widely tipped to be the next player to depart Crystal Palace. Sources have revealed that Liverpool are interested in the England international if the price is right, with his valuation reported to be around £80 million. Liverpool will clearly face competition from multiple clubs for his signature.
