Prediction: Stuttgart Wins
Both teams created plenty of chances in the first leg and there’s reason to believe we could see something similar in the return leg. Celtic will have to open up and go for it from the very first whistle if they have any hope of turning this around.
This should benefit Stuttgart, who already proved that they have the ability to carve through this Celtic team. With both sides finding the net with consistency as of late, we’ll back this to finish at least 2-1 to either team. Our Stuttgart vs Celtic prediction: Stuttgart wins and BTTS + over 2.5.

The first leg saw Stuttgart storm to a 4-1 away victory at Celtic Park. The Germans were ruthless with their chances as they created 1.88 expected goals and three clear cut chances.
It continued what has been a very solid run of form for Stuttgart, who have now lost just once in their last eight across all competitions, winning six. Last time out, they were able to rescue a point late in a thrilling 3-3 away draw with Heidenheim thanks to an 88th minute goal by Deniz Undav.
Stuttgart were one of the most polarising teams in the league phase in respect to their home and away form. They lost three of four away trips, but were ultimately saved by their stellar performances at the Mercedes-Benz Arena, where they won all four of their fixtures.
Stuttgart manager Sebastian Hoeneß will be unable to call upon Justin Diehl, Lazar Jovanovic, and Dan-Axel Zagadou, while defender Julian Chabot is suspended after picking up his fifth yellow card. Angelo Stiller is listed as doubtful and his absence will be a difficult one for the hosts.
The 24-year-old is a wonderfully technical deep-lying playmaker who dictates the tempo and is the heartbeat of Die Schwaben. Stiller was forced off in the 78th minute in Saturday’s draw against Heidenheim, with Hoeneß later reporting that it was a ‘significant knock’.
Expect to see a double pivot of Atakan Karazor and Chema Andres if Stiller is unable to go. On the attacking side, Deniz Undav has been outstanding, leading the entire competition in assists with six and tied for the most goal involvements with eight.

Celtic suffered a second straight home defeat on Sunday, losing 2-1 to Hibs to pile even more pressure on the team. They’ve now dropped six points behind first-place Hearts, although they have a game in hand.
Overall, the Hoops had previously been on an 10-match unbeaten run following the appointment of Martin O’Neill as interim manager in January. In his 12 matches in charge so far, Celtic have won eight, drawn two and lost two.
For the visitors, they could be without as many as seven players for the trip to Germany. Jota, Carter-Vickers, Engels, Osmand, Johnston and Montgomery make up a lengthy injury list.
Benjamin Nygren has been Celtic’s star man this season after making the move over from Denmark in the summer. The 24-year-old is the team’s leading goalscorer with 18, which includes four in the Europa League. The versatile Swede is on a red-hot run at the moment, finding the net in six of his last eight appearances.
Final Prediction:
Asian Handicap: Stuttgart -1/1.5
European Handicap: Stuttgart Wins
Predicted Scores: 2-1, 3-1, 3-2
Predicted Total Goals: 3, 4, 5
