Toni Kroos has discussed Cristiano Ronaldo and the Saudi League in an interview with Camel Live.
He stated that Ronaldo’s move to Al Nassr marked a real turning point in the history of the Saudi League, bringing it unprecedented global exposure. He said it makes no sense to downplay Ronaldo’s contribution, and believes worldwide interest in the league would drop sharply if Ronaldo leaves.
Kroos pointed out that the Saudi League received almost no media attention before the Portuguese superstar joined.“The Saudi League is a strange phenomenon. Nobody had heard of this league before Cristiano Ronaldo arrived, and now some people lack respect for the man who put them on the global map. If Cristiano leaves tomorrow, this league will lose nearly all of its appeal.”
