The situation around the relegation zone is even more dramatic. Tottenham still have only 29 points after losing to Newcastle United today, while West Ham United have climbed to 24 points after picking up a point against Manchester United.
As Tottenham were overtaken by Leeds United and dropped to 16th place in the league, their lead over the relegation zone has also shrunk to 5 points.
