Ten days before the UEFA Champions League final against Arsenal, the Paris Saint-Germain forward gave a lengthy exclusive interview to RMC's Rothen s'enflamme show. Among the topics discussed, the French attacker expressed his ambitions at both collective and individual levels. Because within just a few months, Dembélé could win a second Champions League title with Paris, a second World Cup with France, and claim his second Ballon d'Or.
Jean-Pierre Papin, the 1991 Ballon d'Or winner and current RMC consultant, posed a question to his compatriot: “Your fortune is that in this strong Paris Saint-Germain team, you still have the chance to win a second Ballon d'Or. I just want to know if this has always been a priority goal for you?”
Dembélé responded: “When you win something once, you want to win it many times. But of course, I always put the team first. The most important thing is to win the Champions League. I also have a long-cherished goal of helping the French national team have a great World Cup. We'll see what happens after that.”
