According to English media reports, Inter Miami CF has made contact with Casemiro regarding a free transfer deal this summer. The 34-year-old Casemiro has previously announced that he will leave Manchester United at the end of the season.

Los Angeles Galaxy were once considered the favorites to sign Casemiro and are still expected to compete for the 34-year-old former Real Madrid star. However, after the player was photographed vacationing in Miami last month, speculation about his transfer to Inter Miami intensified, and the American club is now exploring the possibility of signing him.

Casemiro would also have the added attraction of playing alongside his former La Liga rival Lionel Messi, who has extended his contract with Inter Miami until 2028.

Despite being in the final months of his Manchester United career, Casemiro is arguably enjoying his best season at the club, scoring 7 goals in 30 appearances.

Initially, Inter Miami thought signing the Brazilian this summer might be too expensive due to the costs involved and the fact that they already have high-salaried players on their roster. Saudi Pro League clubs and European teams are also interested in him, but Inter Miami has now begun preliminary exploration as they consider potential replacements for Sergio Busquets.

It is understood that Casemiro had an enjoyable vacation with his family in Miami earlier this year and has told friends that he is willing to live there. Currently, Inter Miami cannot afford the midfielder’s salary, which would also violate MLS regulations, but they are willing to discuss what concessions Casemiro might be willing to make.

Inter Miami currently has all three of its designated player slots filled, so they are limited to preliminary interest and exploring potential opportunities at this stage.
