About Belgian Pro League
The Belgian Pro League, commonly referred to as the "Belgian Pro League," is the top-tier professional football league in Belgium, held annually.

League History
Officially founded in 1895, the league's first champion was Standard Liège. From the 1903-04 season to the 1906-07 season, Union Saint-Gilloise secured four consecutive BelgianPro League titles. During World War II, the league was temporarily suspended for two seasons after Belgium was occupied by Nazi Germany. It resumed in 1945, with KV Mechelen claiming the first post-war championship. From the late 1940s to the 1960s, RSC Anderlecht won the league title 14 times, becoming the most successful team of that era. Standard Liège achieved three consecutive championships from the 1968-69 season to the 1970-71 season. In the 1970s, Belgian Pro League teams excelled in European competitions, with RSC Anderlecht winning the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup in the 1975-76 and 1977-78 seasons. The 1986-87 season saw RSC Anderlecht claim their 20th league title. In the 1990s, RSC Anderlecht and Club Brugge each won four league championships. In the first 10 seasons of the 21st century, RSC Anderlecht lifted the trophy five times, while Club Brugge and Standard Liège each secured two titles. KAA Gent won their first BelgianPro League championship in the 2014-15 season. In the 2022-23 season, Royal Antwerp FC claimed the league title for the first time in 66 years. Club Brugge won their 19th league title in the 2023-24 season.

As of 2025, RSC Anderlecht tops the league's all-time winners' list with 34 championships, followed by Club Brugge with 17 titles.
