Vinícius Júnior, the Real Madrid player, gave an interview after his team's 5-1 aggregate victory over Manchester City, stating:

"We didn't feel pressure because we scored three goals at home in the first leg. We know what we want, but we still need to keep working hard. Now we have to continue pushing."

Regarding scoring a penalty in this match after missing one last week, he said:

"I was really disappointed not to score last week. I really wanted to find the net, but it didn't work out. However, Federico Valverde gave me confidence. He told me today was my chance. I did it, and I'm extremely happy about that."

On his "crying" celebration after scoring, he explained:

"Last time we were here, Manchester City fans mocked me with a banner that said 'Stop crying your heart out' after Rodri won the 2024 Ballon d'Or ahead of Brazilians. I mean no disrespect to Manchester City fans; this was just my way of proving myself to them."

On playing under Álvaro Arbeloa, he commented:

“We have been growing as a team and getting better and better. We performed excellently in both matches against Manchester City. We understand each other more and more, and our play keeps improving.”
