England’s scouts have been a regular presence in the stands, closely scouting Newcastle United’s Lewis Miley.

Insiders revealed that the 19-year-old starlet has a chance of being called up to Thomas Tuchel’s England national team, a claim backed by the recent presence of The FA staff at his matches.

Miley’s performances at right-back have showcased his versatility, and full-back is currently a position up for grabs in the England squad. Equally, there is an opportunity in midfield—his natural position—as the fourth midfield spot alongside Declan Rice, Elliot Anderson and Jordan Henderson remains undecided.

But Miley is not the only player under scouting scrutiny; Lewis Hall, Anthony Gordon and Nick Pope are also being monitored. In fact, Hall is almost certain to be named in Tuchel’s March international squad if he maintains his form and fitness. Gordon will also get the call if fit, while Pope has to prove his worth again after his injury return. Meanwhile, Tino Livramento is working tirelessly to recover in time for the March friendlies.

The 19-year-old Miley has made 26 appearances for Newcastle in all competitions this season, contributing 3 goals and 3 assists, with a Transfermarkt value of €20 million.
