Juventus are very interested in the Spanish defender, and talks between the club and the player are advancing steadily, with details expected to be finalized today. If the transfer cannot be completed in January, June will be the most likely time frame. Mingueza came through the ranks at Barcelona before spending several successful seasons at Celta Vigo. He has excelled in the attacking phase, which is exactly the trait that Juventus manager Luciano Spalletti is looking for in a full-back.

Mingueza currently earns €600,000 net per year at Celta Vigo, while Juventus are willing to offer over €1 million per year, which is a huge attraction for the player. Although Celta Vigo have been trying to renew his contract, the two parties have not been able to reach an agreement. At present, Juventus hope to complete the transfer as soon as possible, even finalizing the deal within the next few days.

To facilitate the transfer, Juventus are prepared to submit an offer slightly higher than €3 million, half of which will be paid to Barcelona, as the latter holds a 50% sell-on clause for Mingueza. Mingueza’s contract expires this summer, and if both Celta Vigo and Barcelona reject the offer, they may lose any compensation.
