In the second leg of the UEFA Champions League knockout play-offs, Inter Milan were beaten 1-2 at home by Bodø/Glimt, crashing out of the competition with a 2-5 aggregate score.
With this result, they become the second Serie A side eliminated from this season’s Champions League, after Napoli.
The other two remaining Serie A teams both lost their first legs of the knockout play-offs. Should Juventus and Atalanta, who take to the pitch tonight, fail to overturn their deficits, Serie A will face the humiliating prospect of having no teams qualify for the Champions League Round of 16.
