Per ESPN’s insider sources, Paris Saint-Germain is poised to finalise the transfer deal for Yann Diomandé following positive opening talks with the player’s German club. The Champions League-winning side submitted their first official offer for the RB Leipzig-based Ivorian attacking talent on Sunday, with the transfer potentially sealed as early as Monday.

Sources confirmed negotiations between representatives of both clubs — Nasser Al-Khelaïfi from Paris Saint-Germain and Oliver Mintzlaff of RB Leipzig — have advanced rapidly over the past few days, paving the way for a comprehensive full agreement. French sports outlet L'Équipe was the first to break the news of Diomandé’s impending move to Paris Saint-Germain.

A deal worth approximately €100 million (equivalent to $114 million), with additional performance-based bonus clauses included, is on the table and RB Leipzig are ready to accept this package. Liverpool remain in the running for the forward, yet Paris Saint-Germain hold the pole position in the transfer race. Real Madrid have also registered interest and are closely monitoring the ongoing developments.

The 19-year-old winger has agreed to sign a five-year professional contract with the two-time Champions League winner, and has held discussions regarding the club’s long-term sporting vision with head coach Luis Enrique and sporting director Luís Campos. Paris Saint-Germain has long been Diomandé’s top preferred destination, and he has made his desire to depart RB Leipzig this summer clear to the German side. He originally joined RB Leipzig from Leganés last summer for a transfer fee of €20 million ($23 million).

Diomandé is currently representing his national team at the FIFA World Cup, turning in impressive displays for Côte d'Ivoire. His country will take on Norway in the Round of 32 fixture this Tuesday. His standout performances at the North America-hosted tournament have pushed Paris Saint-Germain to accelerate their pursuit of the winger.
