Prediction: Barcelona Wins

Barcelona have been excellent in attack of late, scoring two or more goals in 13 of their last 14 matches, which sees them enter MD8 of the Champions League as the second shortest priced favourites.

However, Blaugrana’s attacking prowess has been necessary, as they have yet to keep a clean sheet in the UCL this season. Copenhagen will need to produce a massive performance to win this match, but they have scored in each of their last three in Europe, and we feel they will get on the scoresheet in this one. Our Barcelona vs FC Copenhagen prediction is Barcelona Wins and BTTS.

After a disappointing performance against Chelsea on MD5, Barcelona bounced back with consecutive wins in this competition, beating Frankfurt 2-1 before last week’s 4-2 victory over Slavia Prague.

Barca maintained their one-point lead at the top of La Liga over the weekend with a 3-0 victory against Real Oviedo and have now won 13 of their last 14 matches across all competitions (L1).

The hosts have also won their last 11 home games in all competitions and scored two or more goals in each of those victories since losing to PSG back on Matchday 1 of the Champions League.

After bagging a first-half brace in Prague last week, Fermin Lopez has now scored five goals in six UCL matches this season, making him the highest-scoring Spanish player in the competition to date.

Frenkie de Jong was shown his third yellow card of the League Phase in the dying moments last week and will have to serve a one-match ban here. However, Lamine Yamal will be able to return, having served his suspension in the last match.

The hosts are expected to be missing at least four players through injury for this match, including Pedri, Ferran Torres, Andreas Christensen and Gavi.

Meanwhile, FC Copenhagen showed incredible fighting spirit to hold Napoli to a draw last week, a result that kept them in the running to qualify for the knockouts. They are one of four teams on eight points heading into the final Matchday.

Byens Hold will be well-rested for this match, with the Danish Super Liga only set to resume next month. They are now unbeaten in their last three UCL games (W2 D1) and scored seven goals during this period.

While the visitors beat Villareal 3-2 in their last away game in this competition, that was one of only three wins in their last eight matches on the road (L5). They have also conceded two or more goals in each of their last five outings.

Jordan Larsson came off the bench to net the crucial equaliser against Napoli on MD7, which took his tally to three goals and made him the joint-highest goal scorer for Copenhagen in a single UCL season.

Thomas Delaney was the player sent off for the Lions in the last match, and he will likely be replaced by one of Pantelis Chatzidiakos or William Clem in midfield for this trip to Catalonia.

The visitors have two confirmed absentees this week in Rodrigo Huescas and Magnus Mattsson. Both players have serious knee injuries and are expected to miss the majority of the season.

Final Prediction:
