The renowned transfer journalist famous for his iconic "Here we go!" announcement, has confirmed that 22-year-old Al Nassr forward Jhon Jáder Durán is set to join Russian Premier League side FC Zenit Saint Petersburg on loan.

It has been exactly one year since Aston Villa sold Durán for €77 million. In this short span, Durán has been sidelined by Al Nassr, then loaned to Fenerbahçe S.K. where he struggled for form, and now he is being loaned to Zenit in Russia without a buyout clause.
The massive €77 million windfall has made Aston Villa the biggest winner. Back in the second half of 2024, Durán was in excellent form, with several clubs considering him as a winter transfer window investment. However, they hesitated due to his high price tag. At that time, The Athletic even revealed that Aston Villa had valued him at £100 million. But when Al Nassr emerged as a serious buyer, Aston Villa finalized the sale for €77 million.
Durán’s current contract with Al Nassr runs until 2030. Based on the club’s attitude over the past year, this impulsive investment decision may continue to be a persistent headache for them.
