Iranian Ambassador to Spain: Iran Will Go to the World Cup; We Have the Right to Participate

Amid recent developments in Iran, rumors have circulated that Iran might withdraw from the World Cup. In response, Reza Zabib, Iranian Ambassador to Spain, was interviewed by AS.

Asked by AS about the uncertainty over Iran’s participation in this summer’s World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico, Zabib stated clearly: “Iran will go to the World Cup; we have the right to participate.”

He insisted and clarified any doubts, despite the World Cup being held in the United States: “We have no issues; we will be there.”
