Fenerbahçe have made an offer to sign striker Darwin Núñez from Al Hilal, a move confirmed by Portuguese media.

After completing the transfer of N'Golo Kanté, Fenerbahçe have made progress in negotiations to sign Núñez. Leonardo, another striker at Al Hilal, is also on Fenerbahçe's shortlist, but an agreement with Núñez is currently more likely.
Media reports indicate that following Karim Benzema's arrival, Al Hilal need to free up a foreign player slot, and Núñez has lost his place in the team. Al Hilal signed Núñez from Liverpool for €53 million last summer; in the past half-season, he has made 22 appearances, scoring 7 goals and providing 5 assists, though he has recently gone 6 games without scoring.
Fenerbahçe have submitted a new offer to Al Hilal for Núñez: a loan until the end of the season with an option to buy. Negotiations between the two clubs are ongoing. The Turkish winter transfer window closes on February 6, so Fenerbahçe still have time to complete the deal. In the Kanté transfer, Youssef En-Nesyri was sent by Fenerbahçe to Al Ittihad, and Fenerbahçe now need to sign a striker to fill the void left by En-Nesyri's departure.
