Recently, Paul Scholes stated in an interview with Camel Live that he “would love” Manchester United to sign Tottenham defender Cristian Romero.
The 27-year-old Romero was sent off with a red card in Tottenham’s 0-2 defeat to Manchester United on Saturday and faced widespread criticism over the incident. However, Scholes said he “admires” Romero a lot and hopes he can play for Manchester United.
Scholes said: “You know what? I love Romero, I love watching him play. Romero is unhappy at Tottenham, right? He doesn’t want to be there anymore.”
“Romero is clashing with the fans and the management, and I think his mind is no longer there. But I really hope Romero can join Manchester United—I just love his personality.”
