According to journalists, Barcelona legend Gerard Piqué also mocked Real Madrid’s new manager Álvaro Arbeloa during his comments on a Twitch live event channel.
Piqué wrote in the channel’s chat room: “What a great debut for the new Real Madrid.”
The remark was brief yet brimming with sarcasm. Piqué and Arbeloa have never been close, either on or off the pitch, a rift largely stemming from their status as bitter rivals during their respective tenures at Barcelona and Real Madrid.
