After Manchester United’s 2-1 comeback victory over Crystal Palace last night, Michael Carrick has now recorded 6 wins and 1 draw since taking charge of Man Utd. A prominent football journalist discussed Carrick’s future at the club in his latest video.

Excerpts from the journalist’s comments:
Man Utd have secured another excellent win. In Carrick’s 7 Premier League matches in charge, they remain unbeaten with 6 wins and 1 draw, delivering strong results and an excellent team atmosphere.
What about Carrick’s position? The feeling inside the club toward Carrick is increasingly positive, though this does not mean Man Utd have made any decision on the long-term manager – it is still too early. However, the dressing room atmosphere is excellent, the players are happy with Carrick, and everyone at Man Utd feels Carrick has a real chance to become the club’s permanent manager.
After Amorim’s dismissal, Man Utd gave the opportunity to Carrick despite Solskjaer stating he was ready to return to management. The club had expectations for Carrick at the time, but no one expected him to reach this level – he has surprised everyone.
The current view inside Man Utd is that Carrick has a genuine chance to become the club’s next permanent manager this summer, but again, this is not a final decision – merely a feeling within the club.
