Aston Villa midfielder Morgan Rogers is open to leaving the club this summer, with Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United all monitoring the 23-year-old England international.

Rogers only signed a six-year contract with Villa in November last year, but this has not deterred the interest of several top clubs. It is reported that he himself hopes to join a team capable of consistently competing for major trophies. Meanwhile, there is a certain understanding between Rogers and Villa's management that this summer may be the right time for both parties to part ways.

Villa currently still faces some financial pressure, and Rogers is the most valuable player in the squad in the transfer market. If the team ultimately fails to finish in the top five of the league and loses the revenue from next season's Champions League qualification, it will become much more difficult to keep him. However, even if Villa successfully secures a Champions League spot, Rogers may still leave the club.

Rogers has a good relationship with manager Unai Emery and the club's senior management, and he hopes that the club will not block his transfer when a suitable offer is received. In terms of transfer fee, this deal is expected to exceed £80 million, and may even break Villa's club record set in 2021 when Jack Grealish was sold to Manchester City for £100 million.

So far this season, Rogers has made 31 Premier League appearances, contributing 8 goals and 5 assists, and has also been directly involved in 3 goals in the Europa League. Such performances have consolidated his position in Thomas Tuchel's England national team and made him one of the contenders for the starting number 10 position at the World Cup. Since joining Villa from Middlesbrough for £8 million in 2024, Rogers has scored 27 goals in 114 appearances.

Regarding potential destinations, if Enzo Fernández moves to Real Madrid this summer, Chelsea will look to sign a new attacking midfielder, and Rogers is one of their targets. Additionally, he has a close personal relationship with Chelsea player Cole Palmer, with whom he previously worked together in Manchester City's youth academy.

Liverpool may also mount a strong pursuit of him. The team's top scorer Mohamed Salah will leave the club on a free transfer when his contract expires at the end of June, and the Reds need to strengthen their forward line.
