Recently, Monaco Director Tiago Scuro spoke about Paul Pogba’s current situation. The 2018 World Cup winner has been sidelined with a left calf injury and has been undergoing treatment since mid-December last year.

When asked whether the club and Pogba might terminate the contract at the end of the season due to his inability to play, Scuro said, “There are many clauses in his contract that I cannot disclose. Obviously, the recovery plan we formulated for him has not achieved the expected results. Everyone is working hard to find a solution.”
“It is difficult for him to secure stable playing time, and we are all very disappointed. We have to adjust our plan according to the actual situation.”
“He does not have any serious injuries, only some minor issues (his left calf has been troubled by injury since December last year). But we will continue to make efforts to get him back as soon as possible, just as we agreed last summer.”
“The relationship between Pogba and the club has always been very open and honest. We have to continue to encourage him, and he has always believed in himself.”
Scuro said, “There are currently two possibilities: either he can return to the pitch and contribute to the team; or he cannot make a comeback, and of course, both parties can sit down to discuss again next summer. But now is not the time to talk about this issue, because we are trying our best to find a solution.”
He also revealed that Monaco has lost around €30 million due to TV rights in the past two years. One of the team’s major tasks is to return to the UEFA Champions League, and he will build an economically sustainable model for the club and increase commercial revenue. But obviously, this season is more difficult than any previous season, and adjustments must be made.
