Michael Carrick, interim manager of Manchester United, has spoken to the media and been asked about the possibility of catching Arsenal at the top of the league.

Carrick said: “In football you can never rule anything out, but we have to be realistic. We just have to keep trying to win matches and see where it takes us.”
“There are two very good teams above us at the moment, and also some strong sides around us. We’ve been in decent form recently, but we must not get carried away. You have to be patient and stay focused on the present. Whatever the outcome, we can only take it one step at a time, but we will keep giving everything we’ve got.”
