Top transfer experts report that Liverpool are in negotiations over a potential loan move for Dutch international Heiterenda.

It is understood that Liverpool have initiated talks to sign Heiterenda on loan. The 25-year-old Dutch international is owned by RB Leipzig and currently plays for Sunderland on a temporary deal, with all parties now discussing the termination of this loan agreement to facilitate the player's move to Anfield.

Heiterenda is a versatile player capable of operating as a right-back, centre-back and defensive midfielder. Liverpool's interest in him arises from multiple defensive absences due to injury. He previously worked with Liverpool manager Arne Slot for three seasons at Feyenoord, before leaving the Dutch club to join RB Leipzig in 2024. The potential deal has already received approval from his current loan club Sunderland.
