The Italian Ministry of the Interior has announced that Inter fans are banned from traveling outside Milan to attend away matches until March 23.

Inter fans will be prohibited from traveling to away games to support their team until March 23. This decision was made by Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi, following an incident where a firecracker thrown from the Inter fan section struck home goalkeeper Ivan Provedel during the Cremonese vs Inter match, which ended 0-2 in Inter's favor.

The Ministry of the Interior stated: "In response to the serious disturbances that occurred during the match in Cremona on February 1, 2026," Minister Piantedosi has ordered: “A ban on Inter fans traveling to away matches, and a ban on the sale of tickets to residents of the Lombardy region for away fixtures, until March 23, 2026.”

The measure is explained as being intended to "ensure public order and safety, and prevent similar incidents that could disrupt the normal conduct of sporting events from recurring." The Milan derby on March 8, 2026, will not be affected by the ban as it "does not involve large-scale fan travel." Therefore, the away matches affected by the ban include next Sunday's game against Sassuolo in Reggio Emilia, followed by away trips to Lecce and Florence.
