According to Spanish media reports, the racism incident that occurred in the stands during Spain's home match will not affect Spain's hosting of the 2030 World Cup.

In yesterday's international friendly match, Spain drew 0-0 with Egypt at home. During the match, hundreds of Spanish fans made racist remarks and gestures in the stands. Spanish media stated that although this incident has damaged the reputation of Spanish football, FIFA still maintains confidence in Spain hosting the World Cup.

FIFA attaches great importance to the immediate response of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) to this fan racism incident. At that time, officials followed procedures to inform the referee and formally handled the matter both verbally and in writing, emphasizing the seriousness of the incident. After the match, the President of the Royal Spanish Football Federation immediately condemned racism in strong terms and apologized to the Egyptian Ambassador to Spain and Egyptian football officials.

Match officials were also aware of what was happening in the stands. Ultimately, the referee decided not to activate the anti-racism protocol, believing that there was no need to suspend the match under the circumstances, and the referee assessed that the best option was to continue the match.

Spanish media pointed out that FIFA still has full confidence in Spain hosting the 2030 World Cup. Next, FIFA will impose penalties for this racism incident based on the referee's official report, but these are expected to be limited to fines and the closure of some sections of Spain's home stadiums in the future. It is not expected to affect Spain's role in the 2030 World Cup, nor will it impact the selection of the final venue for the 2030 World Cup. Currently, the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in Madrid is still regarded as the top choice to host the World Cup final.
